The rather overlooked b-side to Monty’s massive Warp 9 Mr. Zulu that came out on Pascal’s Frontline label. Very famous Kool & The Gang sample laid over the think break and some 808 bass. Pretty much as simple as they come but it’s a hidden gem that people should play more.
First one of these in a long, long time. I’ve finally got my decks set up in my flat after them being broken for a fair bit. There will be plenty more mixes to come in the near future but here’s a nice slab of mid-90s jump up jungle for your listening pleasure…
DJ Hype - Free For All [Global Thang]
Smokey Joe - Smokin’ Hornz [No Smoking]
DJ Zinc - Yo’ Son [Frontline]
Vivid Dreams - Rise Up (Origin Unknown Remix) [Deconstruction]
Totally amazing tunes on both sides of this 12″ released on Timeless Records back in 1996. I actually only recently managed to pick this one up on vinyl and what a wicked release it is. If you missed it I also put up his incredibly tune “Sorrow” a little while back
Awesome remix of an incredible tune. Sub Nation’s Scottie gets a refix and serious amen chopping action. Someone’s also made this wicked video montage with bits from all the Evil Dead films to accompany it - 0:25 is genius. Some sick skills a gwarn here…
