Wicked old house from the classic Nu Groove label all the way back in 1990. This tune would rock a dancefloor to this day and definitely has similarities to much of the hardcore that would start to come out around that time in the UK. In fact, after reading the comments I found out that it samples A Guy Called Gerald – Blow Your House Down so no wonder it’s got a wicked UK vibe to it!
This tune should need no introduction to anyone with even a passing interest in garage. Massive club track from the huge Strictly Rhythm label. Nothing else to say, really. If you don’t know, get to know
I posted the original way back in May and it just finally came out a couple of weeks back featuring this killer Doc Daneeka remix. Not a massive departure on the original but more rollin’ beats & breaks and a big old bassline.
You need to go pick up this 12″/mp3. Absolutely huge tunes!
Played loads by the likes of Funkystepz on Rinse over the past months I think this one’s still not out. Seems like the Funky scene has a worse situation for actually bringing tunes out than d&b ever had. Cool little vocals from Lily McKenzie who’s the singer on the Funkystepz smasher, “For You” (again, still not out!).
Nice summer vibes just in time for winter (or next summer by the time is gets released?)
