Seefeel – Spangle

I used to love the old Artificial Intelligence compilations on the legendary Warp Records. I’ve always been a big fan of electronica and ambient music and Warp really led the way in the early 90s in this genre. This track was one of the standout tunes from the second in the AI series for me, simple keys all the way through over basic beats with haunting vocals just about audible above the drone. Lovely

Tom Vek – Ain’t Saying My Goodbyes

Not quite sure where I learned about this guy from but I picked up his debut (and so far only) album, We Have Sound, a while back. It’s pretty damn good and has a load of crackin tunes on it, this being one of the stand out tunes. Also check the wicked CC (You Set The Fire In Me) which was the bigger track/single from it.

Allegedly there’s a new album on the way so looking forward to that one

McDeadly

While this does look awesome it also makes me a little sad at the same time. I kinda wanna go there…

Phoenix – If I Ever Feel Better

Phoenix are a bunch of trendy French types who are pals with Daft Punk or something. I bet they’re well cooler than me (not hard) and I love this little cheesy uplifting ditty…

Found it hard to get a version to embed on here so if this breaks go and search YouTube for the track

You must resist!

As I’m taking a little break from cycling to work at the mo I’m reading the free morning paper. It’s shit but I saw this little gem linked in it.

Oh, The Temptation from Steve V on Vimeo.
