MGMT – Of Moons, Birds & Monsters

We had the first MGMT album on in the office recently. The initial part of the album is pretty played out now but I’d forgotten about this little gem towards the end.

Twin Shadow – Beg For The Night

This dude is sick. Kinda sounds like it was made in the 80s in someone’s bedroom when it was really made in 2012, probably in someone’s bedroom. Both of Mr Shadow’s albums are great, if you like this then check them out.

Wild Nothing – Through the Grass

Taken from their latest album Nocturne (which is awesome) I love this little indie number. The album had a wicked limited edition press with 8 interchangeable covers and on blue vinyl that I’m gutted I missed. I’d highly recommend listening to the entire LP if you get a chance.

Siouxsie & The Banshees – Dizzy

Siouxsie Sioux is damn cool. A important part the punk and the post-punk movements she’s made some classic tunes over the years. Dizzy came out in the 90s and represents the lighter side of the Banshees’ sound. I think this is the slightly different edit that was featured out on a Greatest Hits compilation from around 10 years ago, the original mix is on YouTube too.

The Wannadies – You And Me Song

Great 90s indie pop. I never bothered to listen to anything else by this band so have no idea if they every did anything else that was at all decent. How open minded of me!
