Back to ’89 with some classic house from one of the guys who was in Newcleus (The Wikki-Wikki Song). Love this style of house music from that period, just shame I was too young to have appreciated it first time around…
Jamie Grind’s first release on Infrasonics was wicked and this shows that he has more niceness up his sleeve with this one out now on Fortified Audio. There’s also a collaboration with Hackman on the release which is well worth checking out
This is going to be the 5th release on Doc Daneeka’s Ten Thousand Yen imprint, which has to be one of the best labels around at the moment. Every release is a total killer and it looks like they’re set to get better and better. I already posted the b-side Ordinary Things a little while back but this one is too good to not have up here.
Nice bit of jazzy garage from the Smokin Beats guys who had a huge hit with Dreams but also released some excellent stuff in the 90s. I didn’t know until recently that these are the same blokes who made the old N.R.G. tunes. You learn something new every day, don’t you?
