After seeing the name on various ATP line ups I had assumed that Fuck Buttons would just be another noisy drone band with a funny name. However, I checked the recent album, Tarot Sport, and was pleasantly surprised. Awesome gritty synths with an almost tribal feel to much of it, I highly recommend you pick the CD up. Now to check out their back catalogue
I’ve been loving M83’s album, Saturdays = Youth, and have had it on a lot for the past few months. Some of it reminds me a bit of 90s bands like My Bloody Valentine but with a bit of a mix of electronic stuff in there too. I love the twin melodies in this track and the sparse percussion. I’d really recommend checking the whole thing out, top stuff from start to finish

Not quite sure where I learned about this guy from but I picked up his debut (and so far only) album, We Have Sound, a while back. It’s pretty damn good and has a load of crackin tunes on it, this being one of the stand out tunes. Also check the wicked CC (You Set The Fire In Me) which was the bigger track/single from it.
Allegedly there’s a new album on the way so looking forward to that one

Phoenix are a bunch of trendy French types who are pals with Daft Punk or something. I bet they’re well cooler than me (not hard) and I love this little cheesy uplifting ditty…
