ZZ Top – I Need You Tonight

Nice stuff from long-time rockers ZZ Top. This was on their Eliminator album, of which I have an awesome picture disc, an album that sold millions and contained several classic singles. Might not be your cup of tea, but give it a go…

Stephanie Mills – The Medicine Song

Sick 80s business from the awesome Stephanie Mills. She’s done so many wicked tunes and I absolutely love her voice, well worth checking out her stuff on Spotify if you haven’t before. You’ll discover a load of disco and soul crackers. Big tings.

Wild Nothing – Through the Grass

Taken from their latest album Nocturne (which is awesome) I love this little indie number. The album had a wicked limited edition press with 8 interchangeable covers and on blue vinyl that I’m gutted I missed. I’d highly recommend listening to the entire LP if you get a chance.

Simple Minds – Theme for Great Cities

Hard to believe that this was made all the way back in 1981, there are still bands making music not a million miles from this sort of thing today. Instrumental awesomeness from Simple Minds, a band probably best known for their contribution to the Breakfast Club.
