DJ Hype – Dubplate Fever

Big tune hidden away on the flipside of DJ Hype’s very well known Roll The Beats. I’m a bit bored of that one so usually flip the 12″ over for this little beauty.

Big jump up tune from around ’97. This one used to get battered on the pirates. Pretty piss poor on the production and super simple but the intro rules and the drop always gets people one foot skanking. Love this era and style of jungle, purely for the dancefloor, just good vibes.

Pseudo – Heartbeat

I was about to write that I didn’t know who Pseudo was but just checked Discogs and it’s none other than Grant Nelson and Norris “Da Boss” Windross! This may well be one of those tunes that you’ve heard a million times but never knew the name of. Lovely track…

Talk Talk – Such A Shame

A lovely 80s track from Talk Talk who released some great tunes. They’re one of the few bands from that era that actually had excellent albums as well as quality singles. In fact, album-wise they got better after they became less popular. Their later efforts “Colour Of Spring” and “Spirit Of Eden” are lovely chilled out albums that I recommend highly. This single was released in 1984 and still sounds lovely today.

You can see the original video on YouTube but EMI wouldn’t let me embed that here. They were a funny looking bunch.
