I’m guessing most people know the name Berlin from the Top Gun pap “Take My Breath Away”. I never knew they actually did a load of decent 80s electropop stuff. This is top of my 80s wants list – I managed to get a copy sent over from Spain a while back that turned up covered in scratches. Not fair. Someone sort me out, yeah?

I’m going to completely forget that I said I’d never post rock & metal up here from now on cos I love it too much and you should too.
80s metal at its absolute finest here with W.A.S.P., an underrated band from that time who probably now get dismissed due to their glam metal image. Their tunes were actually really, really good with a number of classic singles and great albums. Their videos were packed with lots of bikes and men in stupid clothes playing silly shaped instruments…awesome!

80s German synthy new wave action here with a tune I discovered in some trendy bar in New York a few years back. Maybe it was a big hit over there or something but I’d never heard if before and it’s cool.
The original version in German is good too for those who want the OG track although the lyrics don’t really seem to say the same thing as the translated one.
