Zinc’s always been one of my favourite producers – he’s released so many great DnB/Jungle tunes and has always branched out into other genres and shown that he can tear up a dancefloor at any tempo.
He’s more on a house tip at the mo and this mix shows off the style of thing he’s making and playing – I love it…

Designed by Simon Page I’ve seen these linked from a few places now and I think they’re absolutely lovely. Retro styled with simple shapes and lines but incredibly effective. Head to Simon’s blog for a look at all of them in higher res and the chance to buy prints in the near future!

Saw some posters of this in some of the more trendy record shops on a recent trip to New York and thought it looked pretty interesting. (Another) film about the Norwegian Black Metal scene and all the nonsense, murderation and general weirdness that goes on round those parts. Awesome use of Burzum in the trailer with interviews with man himself. Will definitely be looking this one up when it’s out in the UK…very much doubt it’ll get anywhere near a cinema here, though
Even if you’re not into metal it’s a pretty fascinating subject and I’d also really recommend picking your way through the Lords of Chaos book if you can be arsed (it gets a bit boring towards the end).
Check the trailer…
Edit: video removed from YouTube check it on the official site

Not sure if many people really know about this amazing radio show done by Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson. You can pick up the shows on CD which I would highly recommend as they are hilarious. It’s kinda like a load of Fast Show characters talking crap in a fake radio chat show with all the actors doing a load of awesome stupid accents for the different people. Anything featuring Felix Dexter in it is pure gold.
Wicked little featurette on YouTube about it…
And a full episode (in three parts)

A dreamy mix here from top man Thumbzo, one of the winners of the recent RollDaBeats DJ competition and totally top bloke, on a mellow dnb vibe. Starting off with an absolute classic – Intense’s Sax Lick – and rolling through a whole host of lovely tunes. Get listening…
You can find a load of other mixes across a load of different styles from the man here too
