This hardly sounds out of place for some genres in 2013 but was made all the way back in 1985. I’m a big fan of Yello: a very innovative couple of guys and way more than just those blokes that made that tune out of Ferris Bueller!
Mannequin was on yesterday and I’d totally forgotten the amazingness of its montage section. Top 80s tune action and totally ridiculous number of costume changes. Love it.
Arcadia was most of the members of Duran Duran prancing around in rugs making tunes while Duran weren’t doing a great deal. I do love a bit of Le Bon and the boys, especially when in ultra-pretentious 80s mode so this is a winner for me.
Nice stuff from long-time rockers ZZ Top. This was on their Eliminator album, of which I have an awesome picture disc, an album that sold millions and contained severalclassicsingles. Might not be your cup of tea, but give it a go…
Sick 80s business from the awesome Stephanie Mills. She’s done so many wicked tunes and I absolutely love her voice, well worth checking out her stuff on Spotify if you haven’t before. You’ll discover a load of disco and soul crackers. Big tings.
